The 15th Anniversary of Roath Farmers Market

On Saturday 1st July, we'll be celebrating the 15th anniversary of our Roath Farmers Market!

Having first opened in 2008, since then we have seen Roath Market become a real foodie hotspot; something that is reflected in the excellent selection of food producers and growers who trade with us every Saturday morning.

The market pops up on the car park of Mackintosh Sports Club on Keppoch Street, and has now become a thriving part of the local Roath Community. The market hosts variety of traders - some from our original Riverside Market, as well as some unique traders you won't find anywhere else; it also acts as a testing ground for brand new products.
To celebrate 15 years of our wonderful Roath Market (and all who trade and shop there), we'll be putting on some little extras at the market on July 1st…

  • 10 - 11am: David from Pettigrew Bakeries will be doing a Sourdough bread demo. This family run, independent business has been trading at Riverside Farmers’ Markets since 2016; their Pettigrew house sourdough is made in the traditional way, with no additives, using only organic flour, water & salt - a labour of love which takes over three days to complete.

  • 11:15 to 12pm: Market regular (and board member) Harriet Kennerly will be playing some live music to accompany your Saturday morning shop - if you came to our street food market in April you’ll already know you’re in for a treat!

All are welcome - no bookings required. Hope to see you there!
