Easter is a great time to support sustainable food; whether that’s by buying sweet treats from a local independent business, or sourcing the Easter Sunday roast from local farms and growers.

  • Good Friday: 10:00am - 1:00pm at Ye olde Butcher's Arms, Rhiwbina.

  • Saturday: 9:30am - 1:00pm at Mackintosh Sports Club, Roath.

  • Easter Sunday: 10:00am - 2:00pm at Fitzhamon Embankment, Riverside.

Penrhiw Organic Farm

Run by John and Celia Thomas, Penrhiw produces quality organic beef, lamb and mutton, pork, eggs and chicken, with a huge emphasis on animal welfare.

You can find them at Rhiwbina, Roath and Riverside over Easter weekend.

Paul’s Organic Veg

Hours before the rest of Wales wakes up, Pawel is out on his16-acre organic veg plot near Abergavenny, picking the produce which ends up at the market that very same day. Pound for pound, Pawel can beat organic supermarket prices, and unlike the supermarket, you can always buy as little or as much as you need.

You can find him at Roath and Riverside over Easter weekend.

Pontcanna Organic Veg

Liv from Pontcanna Organic Veg says that her top priority is to share the best possible food, free from pesticides, whilst supporting growers of ethical and / or local produce.

Liv’s connections with independent UK growers (as well as producers from Europe), makes for an interesting variety of fruit and veg though the year.

Ty Caws

Trecastle Eggs & Onllwyn Eggs

Because what would Easter be, without the eggs!?

Trecastle is a small, family-run poultry farm on the edge of the Brecon Beacons offering free range / organic hen and duck eggs.

Onllwyn Eggs offer fresh free range hen eggs from their farm located in the South Wales valleys.

You can find Trecastle Eggs at Roath and Riverside over Easter weekend, and Onllwyn Eggs at Rhiwbina on Good Friday.
