I make and sell handmade ghee( clarified butter) made in small batches from local organic grass fed butter in various infused spiced flavours for cooking with, the most popular by far being the roasted garlic!. My plain ghee has just won 3 stars in the Great Taste awards this year, despite only starting the business last year, and I'm still astounded ! The ghees are all handmade in small batches by myself in my home kitchen . I use local organic ingredients apart from the spices, which are all organic and fairtrade where possible. I'm based in Painswick, Stroud and am lucky enough to have my kitchen window overlooking the beautiful valley whilst I make the ghee. I started making ghee for my own use and health reasons and very quickly friends tasting it told me it was better than anything they could buy. The idea of infusing them came after experimentation , wanting to have a range of ghees that I could take to market.
