In early 2008, RCMA launched a second farmers’ market in Roath, East Cardiff, aiming to reflect the same ethos of localness, quality and accessibility as Riverside Market while attracting a new range of customers. The Roath Farmers Market has operated in the car park of a sports club in the heart of the residential area which includes a lot of student accommodation. Footfall at Roath has slowly grown during the past year, and we feel that it is now well established and still has great potential for expansion and development. The location is especially convenient for Cardiff students and for the many local residents, and is an ideal shape to host a range of music performances, cooking demonstrations and other events. There is an adjacent craft markets which provides an added attraction for customers.

LOCATION - FINDING US

	Roath Real Food Market is every Saturday at the Mackintosh Centre on Keppoch Street (in front of THE GATE Art Centre)
	Roath Real Food Market is situated in a vibrant part of Cardiff, about 15 minutes walk from the city centre
	There's usually plenty of free parking in nearby streets. Disabled Parking is provided on the market site itself.
	Sorry - no boat service to Roath, unless you have an amphibian!
	JUst ten minutes walk from Cathays train station.
	Roath Real Food Market is just minutes from the 8, 9 and 9A bus services on City Road and the 1, 2, 29, 29B, 52, 57 and 58 services on Albany Road.
	There is a special bike rack provided for cyclists at the market - and two wheels are probably the quickest (and healthiest!) way to get there.
