Plant2Plate are a family run business from Caerphilly who work hard to ensure that all of their ingredients and meals are of the best quality. All of their meat is locally sourced (in fact their beef comes from our other trader of the month Penrhiw Farm) and many of the herbs and vegetables are grown in their garden pesticide-free.
With a wide range of meals on offer such as Pork Belly with Cashew nuts, Welsh Mutton Tagine and Mushroom and Lentil Lasagne, Plant2Plate offers food to suit everyone’s needs. We’ve heard that recently they’ve had delivery of duck legs from Glaiser Uchaf farm, so get to them fast for market favourite Crispy Duck with Plums!
Plant2Plate pride themselves on their tasty home cooked food and also specialise in gluten-free food suitable for Coeliacs. Providing delicious meals for homes, pubs, cafes and restaurants, we are glad to have them as part of our Friday markets in Rhiwbina.

If you are looking for that perfect Sunday Roast you are in luck, as Penrhiw Farm’s John and Celia Thomas can be found at our Rhiwbina and Riverside markets selling fresh Aberdeen Angus Beef and South Wales Mountain Lamb on Fridays and Sundays every week.
All of their excellent produce comes from their herd of Aberdeen Angus cows and flock of South Wales Mountain ewes who thrive on the clover rich pastures of Penrhiw Farm, making for delicious locally sourced meat for the customers of our markets.
Penrhiw Farm is an upland farm, situated on the eastern side of the Taff Bargoed valley between Trelewis and Bedlinog in the county borough of Merthyr Tydfil and has been in the Thomas family for at least 4 generations. John and Celia are market regulars and even in busy lambing season they can be relied on to bring top quality meat, and sometimes even pies!
All of their excellent fresh meat is processed on the farm with beef being hung for 3 weeks before making its way to our markets ready for our lovely customers.
You can find John and Celia from Penrhiw Farm at Rhiwbina market every Friday from 10am – 1pm and Riverside market every Sunday from 10am – 2pm.
